I tired my mum out today. We started off touring the Rock N' Soul Museum and then spent the afternoon on a Mississippi River Boat. I took hundreds of shots that will take me forever to process. I knew which one would be my favourite even before I clicked the shutter. Three bridges in one shot! Those who have followed me through my last year project know that i have a love bridges.
Each of the three bridges, have multiple names but I will will only use one here. From left to right: The Memphis and Arkansas Bridge - built in 1949 as part of the US-40; The Harahan Bridge - Completed in 1916, this is the only railroad bridge between St. Louis and the Gulf of Mexico that is also used simultaneously by pedestrians and vehicles; and The Frisco Bridge - The Frisco Bridge was the first bridge built on the lower Mississippi, and the only bridge south of St. Louis when it opened in 1892.
We can't cross that bridge until we come to it, but I always like to lay down a pontoon ahead of time. - Bernard Baruch
